PivotTrue® Balance Shoe Brake Pads
Interchangeable rear brake pads in ten extensions from .035" to .125", colour coded so the pad can be matched to the balance pocket depth. PDF sizing guide available.
Interchangeable rear brake pads for Ashland balance shoes. The pad sets how far the brake stands out of the shoe housing, so it is chosen from the depth of the balance chamber rather than from the shoe.
Sizing: measure the internal depth of the balance chamber, add .030", then subtract the .545" shoe width — the result is the pad extension. A .590" pocket gives .590 + .030 − .545 = .075", the cadet blue pad. When ordering samples, ask for one size either side of the calculated pad as well.
