T-Rex Door Security Reinforcement
Patent-pending strike reinforcement that anchors the deadbolt and latch into the framing. Exceeds ASTM F476-14 and reaches Grade 40+ (9 ram hits). PDF brochure available.
T-Rex Security is a patent-pending reinforcement for residential entrance doors. Reinforcement plates set into the jamb at the deadbolt and latch tie the lock hardware back into the structural framing, so a kick or ram is resisted by the frame rather than by the strike screws alone.
Independent ram testing rates a standard door at Grade 10 (2 ram hits), a reinforced frame at Grade 20 (4 hits), and a popular multipoint lock at Grade 30 (6 hits). A door fitted with T-Rex reaches Grade 40+, withstanding 9 ram hits — at a fraction of the cost of a multipoint system.
